To be seen if it can be replicated to the same degree at Colorado State. No doubt, things markedly improved under him, but it's a different challenge out west.
At UCF he inhereted a team that was already pretty legitimate on the defensive side of the ball - in 2013, they ranked 17th in points allowed, and in 2012, they ranked 27th. They were 29th in yards per game in 2013 and 42nd in 2012. And, he brought back 10 starters from the 2013 defense in the 2014 iteration.
Colorado State was 34th in points allowed last year and 82nd in 2013, they were 84th in yards allowed last year and 81st in 2013, and they're losing 4 starters from last year.
Not saying they won't improve - they probably will - but likely it's going to be a much tougher road than he faced at UCF.
