ESPN saying OSU will get in playoff

No, that makes the Baylor/TCU game "like" a championship game. You can't say "looking back on the season it was a conference championship game". TCU dominated the whole game then lost on a fluke by blowing a 21 point lead VERY late in the game. And that is their only loss which is to a top 10 team on the road. What game did Baylor lose? Was it to a top 10 team?

Again you are basically saying Illinois is better than the Gophers because we lost a close game to them on the road.
I would say Illinois is better than the Gophers if they played the same conference schedule and finished with the same record with the tie breaker being head-to-head. Over the course of the season the Gophers proved they are better than Illinois, but Illinois won in an upset. If both teams finished 5-3, yes Illinois would be better in my opinion.

We keep talking about how the Big 12 needs a championship game, and we assume Baylor would play TCU, one would lose, and then have two losses and be eliminated. They are both in Texas. It is likely if Big 12 did have a championship game, they would be in the same division, and Baylor would play somebody else in the title game and TCU would not even make the championship.

The playoff committee has to look at the full schedule and not just head 2 heads. TCU has the better resume because their loss is a "better" loss than Baylor's.

I understand the my gophers vs illinois example isn't the exact same, just an example of how head 2 head isn't the end all. The new committee is looking at it more like they do the march madness tournament. And good losses are something that matters.

I've heard every argument in the book in favor of TCU, but I keep coming back to head to head. It's the ultimate tie breaker in my opinion.

I'm really excited for this selection show, I don't have a dog in this fight so any scenario isn't going to make me upset. This gonna be fun.

Good wins should matter too, and TCU doesn't have a win as good as Baylor's best.
