In reality that is a very good hire for Northern Illinois. I remember Doeren when he was the DC at Kansas before going to Wisconsin with Bielema.

From a Kansas perspective or any BIG 10 school for that matter, Doeren will be a interesting coach to follow for the future.

Hopefully this puts to rest the idea that Chryst refused to come to Minnesota because the job "wasn't good enough." If Minnesota would have offered him the gig with a decent salary, he would have taken it.

I think Bucky should hire Kevin Cosgrove to fill the position. haha

Why is this the case? Paul Chryst is a different person than Dave Doeren.
