ESPN: 2013-14 Preview: Minnesota

I stopped reading after I read "I think Eliason will be fine defensively in the middle, he might have been a little better than Mbwake"

Half the time last year it looked like Eliason was going to trip over his own feet while on defense?

Something tells me you don't watch to much, Mbwake was good rebounder but against the bigger centers he was overmatched, good power forward but he wasn't playing center because of his defensive capabilities, Eliason moves well in the middle, occupies space, and changes shots, not much on offense but a pretty decent defensive center, won't be able to clear the board like Mbwake could, team rebounding will be needed, I'll take Eliason as a defensive center any day over an out of position Mbwake.

When it comes to EE, some people will never like what he brings to the table because he is not a top notch athlete with big ups. These same people didn't like Colt either. The little things role players can provide get missed by some of these fans. They probably hate Oto also and he may be so solid at the 4 that he takes most of the minutes there. They don't get the love from lots of fans, but people like Jason Stamper, Miles Tarver, and even Eliason are the type of role players all teams need to do the dirty work.

UW finishes ahead of the Gophers easily. Ryan has a system in place. Pitino is putting one in. I love this hire but it will take time.

FIFY to make your comment more accurate!!! :)

To some, the only thing that matters is the scorebook, when in reality it is the TEAM scorebook that matters.
