By the way, you are still missing the point. I understand you may know for a fact (or not) that Tubby is not interested in the Oregon job, but do you have inside knowledge that Oregon has no interest in Tubby? If not, then you can't say the report is wrong.

This is pretty ridiculous. Do you think Maturi is ruling from his throne up there as AD? I am sure Tubby has control of nearly every aspect of the basketball program. If Tubby leaves (which doesn't seem plausible at this point) I doubt it will be because of Maturi. Tubby would leave for greener pastures and something closer to home most likely.

LOL! Guess what? The day Tubby was hired at UK, I knew he was leaving.

I also know that Tubby is going to pay taxes (hopefully) and kick the bucket some day. I just don't know where :cool02:

Nope. His wife cancelled a major home improvement at their Lexington home (being done by a grade school friend of mine) in October 2006, the same home improvement he is doing for John Calipari now.

The reason she cancelled it? "We're moving" is what she told him.

That could mean a lot of things. Brewster put his house up for sale last fall and the media tried to make it mean something. I hardly think Tubby decided a whole season in advance he was leaving. What if that team had gone on a Final Four run?

Not to argue but coaches ALWAYS dispel rumors until they get on a plane
to take their next job. Therefor I don't put any credibility in any coach that
dispels rumors. They just can't say they may go somewhere else until the
deal is signed.

That said:
I am of the OPINION that Tubby Smith will finish his coaching career at Minn.
Here are my reasons:

He would not take one of the Elite high stress jobs again. He left Kentucky to
get away from that. Any other move away from Minn. would only be a lateral
move or a lesser move. He's not going to take a lesser job and I don't see the
point in making a lateral move. Why would he want to start over rebuilding
someone else? I don't think he considers his work finished at Minn. and
by the time it is, it will be nearing a time when Tubby will start thinking about
retirement.
 

I also blame Maturi for the Lincoln assassination, the Lindberg baby kidnapping and I have "guy" who swears he saw Joel on the grassy knoll. I think you are on to something.
 

Maturi was in no way involved in the Lincoln assassination or the Lindberg baby kidnapping. I have no idea though about the grassy knoll Kennedy assassination, so you are only one third right.
