Congrats to Eric Abojei!

Let the recruitin' wheel churn!

Now, we hope to hear from Eric Wilson & Grant Ryerse soon.

Big kid for ol. Slow start but keeping borders closed

Great news, really glad to have Eric on board with the Gophers.

Welcome aboard! Now how do I pronounce that last name? Erik Wilson you are on the clock.

He looks big and mean, Bart Miller is going to love him.

What were his other offers?
It is nice that an in state player committed but did any other program offer him?

Think we are getting a good look at the type of o-line players they want. Both commits are 6'5"/6'6" and around 300lbs, assuming they will get bigger like most o-linemen do when they get to college it is clear they are looking for large offensive lineman as opposed to smaller/quicker guys.

I think beyond the size of the players is the mindset. It appears the Gophers want linemen who are maulers, not technicians. when in doubt, punch the other guy in the mouth and knock him on his butt.

You can teach them the schemes. You can't teach them to have that "bleep you" mindset.

Awesome! Gotta have these big instate top linemen!! Very nice! Now if we can find two similar maulers for the defensive line. And two tall, big, fast, long armed, strong defensive ends we'll be off to an exciting class.

Was he the no. 2 in-state recruit? Great get.

I like our new OLine coach already. Was worried about him being able to recruit without having the relationships with these kids. Doesn't seem to have a problem!

On the 247 site, he is the consensus #2 player in the state. That's good enough for me.

What would your reaction be on this board be if he picked some other school? Let me guess...you would have been the same bitter poster that you've been for damn near every post you've made here.

The film on these guys looks pretty skilled. I can't understand why Andries and Obeji don't even sniff 4 stars. Scouts really overlook Minnesota kids.

On the good side, these are the type of Minnesota linemen that Osbourne used to poach from here for Nebraska when they were more of a powerhouse.

Andries is a 4 star on Scout and is a high 3 star (right on the borderline) on both 247 and Rivals.
