I don't think it is for me. I live 500 miles away and either drive or fly in for the games. I had a hard time giving away the tix for the games I couldn't make this year. For the games I did make it in town for, I wondered why I just didn't get scalped tickets.

I'll have to see what happens at the presser, signing day, etc, but right now I don't think this does it. Would have rather had an up and coming assistant coach like the other finalists in our last coaching search with Charlie Strong and Bo Pellini.

At best, this seems to get us back to Mason's level.

No offense but I would never drive 500 miles to see any college team play football.

AT first glance this is beneath Mason level and that is not saying much. We have gone from Mason, who Georgia offered to Brewster, a used car salesman who didn't know what he was doing to this guy. Fire Maturi!

Renewing. I wouldn't miss college football from my seats.

I'll renew this year, because I still have a strong connection to the current players. After that, I will monitor recruiting and see if I can still get excited enough to make the investment. I don't want to watch a glorified St. Johns, I can tell you that much. I sure hope he has a little snake oil salesman to him, because his name will mean squat to a high school kid in Texas.

We were waffling as it was. No sense renewing our tickets when we can buy them from scalpers for 10-20% of face. Five of our seven seats will not be renewed.

I wish I could get tickets next year, but probably will be at UW and will be stuck around all of the Badger fans. Not looking forward to that at all.

The worst is over! I guarantee you that!

It truly takes an incompetent coach to win only 1 game in a season.... and Brew would have done it twice.

No way in hell that happens again with Kill.

I drive 360 miles round trip for every game. I'm renewing. I support the Gopher FB program.
GO GOPHERS!

only if they drop ticket prices to match whats on the field. we deserve better.

I will try to absorb this shocking development before I finalize my decision, but my initial reaction is no, the University did not follow through with their commitment to find the best and most qualified coach to lead this program. Maturi took the "cheap" approach when he said he would not. Unless I have a change of heart, I will not renew.

Why renew when a 4 dollar ticket sold on the plaza will do?

Ha..I couldn't agree more. I will not be renewing my season tickets.

Go away, and don't come back. We do not need you.

Not renewing ( only 80 miles for us) there will be tickets for every game a at less than face value
including the CLUB seats ( i have 4 on the 45 if anyone wants em?, I' sell em for next year)

Can't understand you people

Is this a Petersen or Mullen hire? No. But it's a solid hire, and a big step forward in terms of coaching ability compared to Brewster. Great, don't renew your tickets. I need to add two more, and was worried I might have trouble getting all of ours together. If you leave, it increases my chances.

I'll have 6 going back into the pool. If I want to go to a game I'll scalp one for half price.

I'll renew because I am there for the U of M regardless of who is coaching.

It's outdoor football! It's the Big Ten! It ain't intramurals!

Of course.

You guys don't want to see Gray run wild over the B10 next year? Nebraska in B10? Kill's transition lenses?

"We don't need you"??

You, and the University, absolutely DO need him. And me. And the hundreds of thousands of potential ticket buyers out there who could, if given the chance, sell out TCF every Saturday.

Have fun with the 20,000 that agree with you next fall. You'll be able to move from your seats to the 40 yd line by halftiime, the 50 by third quarter.

Yep, and hopefully adding tix. I don't have high expectations for this program, but I love it. Kill knows how to coach. Who knows if he can recruit. I don't expect too much of a class this year and he'll have to prove himself before he gets any kind of attention.

Sure, I will renew.

I just am so mad at Maturi. Why could you just keep your mouth shut? "Tubby"? Not even close. "Couldn't believe He was interested"? Why not? This has to be a huge raise in pay.

Why should I go away? I have gone to 8+ gopher games (that includes road games) for 10 consecutive years now. If you are going to tell me to go away because I am going to use cheaper tickets without even knowing my financial means....you should go run for congress or something.

Sure thing Highwayman. Even though I stated "I'll have to see what happens at the presser, signing day, etc" before making my decision, I'll speed things up and make my decision now just to make you happy. I will not be renewing my 4 tickets based entirely on your advice. That just made my life easier. Now I'm off to see where to spend the extra ~$1k I have.

new coach

If any rational fan thought that an administration that has done every single thing that they thought of to take the fun and yes some anarchy out of the college game day experience would let the AD hire an off the wall football master mind like Leach you are living in an alternative universe.
Plain vanilla is what we like anything else is way too spicy.
So get used to it.

Not me, not any more. I've been doing this for 40 years and Maturi has finally cured me. I'll be watching on TV, "maybe".
