In the current situation, the most power lies with the Governors. Walz said Friday that large-group activities like concerts and sporting events will be among the last things to return. He tied large-group events into the development of a vaccine - which is still months away at the best. (BTW -you can kiss the State Fair goodbye for this year....)
The Governor of California - which has multiple pro teams and D1 schools - has said he does not envision fans in the stands at games this year.
the B1G can say that it's going to play its schedule. The NFL can say it's going to play its schedule. But if the Governors and the Doctors say no fans in the stands, that is what is going to happen.
I will be happy if we get sports on TV by the fall. we'll have to live with watching games that have no fans in the stands.
