His only college stats were at Boston College, where it looks like he started a few games in 2022

Going to be a pretty tough sell when you don't have a starting spot to offer. Have to find someone willing to come in and be a backup.

I like this add a lot. Has experience, even excelled at times. Can’t imagine a more experienced qb that started last year wanting to come here with Lindsey established. Maybe if we threw NIL money at someone, but that would be a waste of funds better spent elsewhere. Sounded like he had a knee injury that kept him from playing for ODU last year. He won’t scare off anyone, but looks like a guy that could keep the season from nose diving if Lindsey goes down. Looks like he has two years left so that’s a nice bonus too. Seems like an upgrade over Pyron.

Sounds like they were neck and neck and split time at the start of 2023 with Castellanos eventually winning the job.

"Morehead served as the backup quarterback in 2023 at Boston College. He then hit the transfer portal for the first time and transferred to Old Dominion prior to 2024. He missed the entire season with a knee injury and elected to reenter the transfer portal back in December."

It doesn't say when he suffered the knee injury. ODU stats show that he didn't play in 2024 so I assume it was prior to the season.

I dunno, seems pretty risky for him to leave. Doesn’t exactly have a loaded resume to guarantee he’d get a scholarship offer elsewhere.
