Emergence of Dylan Wright

I sincerely believe we’re going to see the emergence of D. Wright as a stud WR this season. The best comparison I can think of is in 2018 when we saw glimpses of unreal talent from R. Bateman (think Indiana game-winner that year). Then, in 2019, Rashod goes off for 60 - 1,219 - 11. Dylan simply has too much athleticism not to have a big year. Barring injury, I think he’s poised for 50+ receptions, 1,000+ yards, and 7+ touchdowns (his 2021 stat line was 18 - 365 - 2 in 9 games). Lots of attention (rightfully so) will have to be paid by opposing defenses on CAB, Mo/Trey/Bryce and one even could argue Spann-Ford given his size. Unlike Mike Sanford Jr., one of the worst coordinators in CFB, Ciarrocca knows how to maximize the effectiveness of the weapon that is Dylan Wright. Look for KC to give him plenty of opportunities to shine. Would love to hear your opinions. Three weeks - RTB LFG!

Wasn’t Fleck just saying something to the effect of “He still has a lot to learn”? He was complimentary, but with him you can usually read between the lines when he makes statements like that.

However, in reading Twitter tonight, it sounds like a lot of people were impressed with the open practice tonight. It basically sounds like we should be chanting “we want Bama” already.

He came to the right program. They will coach him up to hopefully be NFL ready.

I think there is very little doubt that Wright has the physical tools to be a superstar WR. The challenge for him seems to be the mental part of the game....if he puts it all together he could be special.

Biggest things Dylan needs this season are a healthy CRAB and for KC to be the key to getting Morgan back to his 2019 self. CRAB and Wright might not be quite as talented as Bateman/Johnson but they have the potential to be pretty close.

I think if he steps up, the offense could be really, really good.

He has Bateman level raw physical skill. My understanding is that everything else is between the ears, but with Fleck and Simon I trust them to get him there!
