I was just looking over video highlights of the victory over Illinois and noticed something new to my eyes. Elliot has finally sheared off that pesky mop of hair that used to sit atop his head! Having shaved it prior to this last game is clearly to be credited for his inspired and physical play - a symbol of metamorphosis if you will. Lookout for the big fella!

He needs to go to a big man camp or something over the summer to learn how to position himself to be at least some kind of offensive threat. The rest of his game is coming around nicely.

If his teammates would hit him when he rolls off screens he would average 10 a game. He's almost always open.

The combination of Eliot and Mo is going to be better than Sampson and Iverson was.

I don't think we'll see them on the floor together too too often. Elliot and Mo essentially play the exact same position. Sampson and Iverson, on the other hand, we're both at home and comfortable in the high-low scheme.

We'll definitely be able to wear teams out in the post rotating those 2.

When I clicked on this thread, before I even read your post, I was planning on making a similar comment. Farewell, pesky mop.

Loved that block he had on Myers. He definitely plays with a chip on his shoulder. He plays harder and more physical than I expected.

At some point in time I believe we will see them play together. EE is a pure center and can't play PF. Huge Mo I believe can. I thought he played PF as a freshman. Since I'm positive Williams will be back, it won't be an issue next year, but I believe they will play together as juniors.

Yeah, I'm sure they will but I doubt we'll see them together as.much as Sampson and Iverson.

Gimme the hair back. He looks like he would fit in at Wisconsin too much with the crew cut.

Get him some proactiv and a tan, plus 200 hours on the treadmill and he might have a chance at scoring on and off the court....

+2 The hair is the source of all his basketball prowess. I was hoping he wouldn't cut it all season.

When RS gets the ball in his hands, time stops. Its like he needs to process everything. EE instinctively gets rid of it quickly and that helps to keep the offense moving.

One's a true center @ 7', one's a true PF @ 6'9". I think they'll be on the court together the majority of the time as upperclassmen.

What's really nice is the progress Elliot's made. If you recall Elliot had looked good this season until Leonard took his lunch money & pushed him down in a snowbank in that first Illinois game. Leonard was just so much stronger that he was manhandling Elliot & Elliot seemed to lose confidence. Nice to see him get back in there against Leonard & get after it, rather than letting himself get pushed around again.
