Great read. Thanks for posting. It is great to hear about the support provided by the Gopher Coaching staff after some of the issues during the past few months. I have had the opportunity to meet Elliott and he appears to be a great kid. As with any tall young man, his agility is in development. I believe a redshirt season will serve him well and that he will be a strong contributor to the team in the years to come.
 

Think about next year when the gophers will have 5 guys at 6'10+ (with none redshirting), not to mention Mbakwe. That is 6 bigs. A team that is deep in bigs has 3-4.

Who is the 5th guy at 6'10"+? I count Eliason, Iverson, Sampson, and Walker.
 



Whooooops, my bad.

They will have 9 guys on the roster at 6'7 or better though (assuming the european lad stays).
Granted Dawson is a walkon and Halvorsen is the Valpo transfer.
 

Is he redshirting? I don't recall seeing him get into Wofford or Siena games.
 

Who is the 5th guy at 6'10"+? I count Eliason, Iverson, Sampson, and Walker.



Oto is pretty close although probably more around 6'9 but he could get listed as 6'10.
 

I could be listed as 6' 10" due to a one digit typo in the ' column. :)
