He lost me in the game against Wisconsin this year. They had a goalline play and they ran right towards him. Edwards just stood up at the snap of the ball, got knocked back 2 yards by a blocker 100 lbs lighter than him and the Badger RB just walked right into the endzone. I rewinded that play a couple of times just to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. My eyes were correct. He just gave up on the play before it even started. This was when the game had yet to be decided as well. This happened in the 1st quarter.

Kill mentioned something about him being an academic casualty. If that is the case, I just don't have any sympathy for him. With all of the academic help given to players, mandatory study halls, and the light course load during the season, there is no excuse for not staying eligible. It is not that difficult. Anyone who fails out is not trying.

I have to spend the next 20 years paying off my undergrad and grad level school loans. The kid is given a free ride and instead of respecting it like a privilege, he feels entitled to treat it like trash...No sympathy for his irresponsibility. make space to give someone who actually respects the opportunity.

Talent wise, he may be missed, but now someone else has an open opportunity and hopefully someone will step up and take full advantage of it.
