MADISON, Wis. — Police at UW-Madison Police made 26 arrests, issued 27 citations and ejected 64 people during the Badgers' 41-10 victory over Purdue.

Police say 19 of the citations issued Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium went to UW students and 18 of those arrested were students, who also accounted for 39 of the ejections.

The Wisconsin State Journal (http://bit.ly/1b4pggW ) also reports that police issued 24 citations for underage drinking, two for possession of alcohol and one for having a fake ID.

Of those ejected but not cited, 10 were for intoxication and 6 were for possessing alcohol.

Nice! Perhaps we can take to that level one day at The Bank.

They are still drinking their sorrows away from the ASU meltdown. Their delusional fans were talking National Championship after two games.

Typical day in a real college town.

Is this supposed to be a bad thing? Sounds like a fun party, which we all know isn't allowed here.

That's all? For a Badger game? Police in Madison must feel like they got the day off.

Hopefully one day our student section can have the ambition and drive of Badger fans. They sure do support their team.

Ummmm. They support drinking. Half of them couldn't tell you who their coach is.

Having lived in Wisconsin, this is pretty close to the truth. Drunken stupidity goes beyond the sports themselves. It's an important part of their culture.

I was at the Badger game to visit my son who is a student there. They have a great game day atmosphere but it was interesting to see how most of the students don't get into the stadium until about 10 minutes into the game. By the end of the first quarter they all finally arrived. Then they all left at the end of the third quarter.

Blowouts against programs like Purdue have been commonplace for years there. I wouldn't expect students to stick around at that point.
