How does a Wiscy loss affect the Gophers' ranking and bowl selection?
The Gophers finish ahead of PSU. PSU gets to go to a NY6 bowl game not the Gophers? I know there are complicated rules and ultimately the Bowl hosts have a say. They'd pick a team that they thing have more fans that travel and will generate the most revenue locally.
Fairness has nothing to do with it. Maybe someday when the Gophers starts winning more games things will change.
Is this correct - had the Gophers beaten Wisconsin, they would have been the team in the Rose Bowl with a $4 Million payout. Now, if they selected to the Outback Bowl the payout is $6.35 Million split by the two teams.
Aren't the payouts divvied up by the B1G? I'm not sure how much of the payouts the individual programs keep.
No, they move up a spot for two for a good loss ?Does Wisconsin drop 10 spots in the CFP rankings now too?
What goes around, comes around. Their turn will come.It was funny to see, but I couldn't help thinking, "Why don't they ever do things like that against us?" LOL

Thinking of that game still gives me a headache.I bet every long time Gopher fan was remembering that dropped punt with just a few seconds against Wisconsin. Bounced right up into the hands of a Wisconsin defender and broke the hearts of any Gopher fans watching or listening on the radio. ?
