I bet every long time Gopher fan was remembering that dropped punt with just a few seconds against Wisconsin. Bounced right up into the hands of a Wisconsin defender and broke the hearts of any Gopher fans watching or listening on the radio. ?

My biggest outstanding question is whether 1 or 2 teams (in addition to OSU in the playoff) go to NY6 bowls. Will wisc AND Penn State both make one of the big bowls (Rose and ???), or just one of them. If two go, everyone in the Big Ten moves up a level in the conference bowl partner pecking order.
 

The Gophers finish ahead of PSU. PSU gets to go to a NY6 bowl game not the Gophers? I know there are complicated rules and ultimately the Bowl hosts have a say. They'd pick a team that they thing have more fans that travel and will generate the most revenue locally.

Fairness has nothing to do with it. Maybe someday when the Gophers starts winning more games things will change.

Is this correct - had the Gophers beaten Wisconsin, they would have been the team in the Rose Bowl with a $4 Million payout. Now, if they selected to the Outback Bowl the payout is $6.35 Million split by the two teams.

Aren't the payouts divvied up by the B1G? I'm not sure how much of the payouts the individual programs keep.
 





It was funny to see, but I couldn't help thinking, "Why don't they ever do things like that against us?" LOL
 





What a dumpster college football playoff committee Zero spots going down losing by two touchdowns last night. Why even play the freaking game...

Thinking of that game still gives me a headache.
