One thing that stands out in all the clips is that the UCLA players are nowhere near him when he's throwing. If our OL can protect like that I think Max will have a great day.

Max was 15 of 19 yesterday, but with few downfield throws. If our OL continues to gel as a pass blocking unit, I think we'll see more of what Max can do on slower-developing downfield throws. Go Gophers.

We definitely have not had a ton of deep throws. But given the amount of time our OL typically gives, I understand why. The short passes are working pretty well but it would be fun to see them take a shot now and then.
