There was a story or post awhile back that said he wouldn't be joining the Gophers because he was on probation in the state of Texas and failed to give the judge in the case notice of his intent to move to MN. As a result, the judge in the case wouldn't allow him to leave the state. I believe he is attending TTU now.

There are more details that I can't remember right now but this is the jist of the story.
