Go Gophers!!
This has always been a pet peeve of mine, thank you for pointing it out.Very good!
However, ahem . . . It should be “support my teammates and me.”
I believe Drake is coachable!!
Thank both my Minnesota public school education, and my late mother! This has always been a pet peeve of mine, thank you for pointing it out.
Unfortunately, I do that quite a bit. Doesn't sound right. Wonder if Drake will get the message! This has always been a pet peeve of mine, thank you for pointing it out.
Even if he does not, we need this level of confidence from the QB position.Sure smells like he expects to start.
Let's be honest, the schools are also corporations and they never did shit to try to get these guys to be able to make a dime off of something as simple as their autographs while making tens and hundreds of millions from their product on the field - until now, and only because they have to. We're fortunate to have an autonomous business that associates itself with the U and chooses to advocate for and find ways to funnel money towards these guys so they stay here. If they get the praise over the U, so be it.Notice how they don't even acknowledge the school they are playing for anymore, now it's just the corporation that is paying them that gets mentioned.

Somebody has to protect the English language. Thanks.Very good!

The endowment doesn't make anyone rich.Couldn’t agree more. U of M endowment is over $5 billion. But they cant afford to pay players that are making them all rich.
Does the endowment have anything to do with the paid athletes? I asked years ago why the stadium wasn’t just built with the endowment money. But my understanding is that has nothing to do with athletics. But it sounds from a few posters that the U has been banking huge amounts of money off the players. But the information put out by the U says that the athletic department sometimes makes a little money and sometimes loses a little. We have the posters(the guys who read Dennis Dodd) on here who say that the U and other universities have been raking in “hundreds of millions of dollars.” Maybe that is true but this may be the 10th time I’ve asked for those specifics on those numbers(as opposed to the publicly available information) and oddly the cites and information have yet to be provided.Couldn’t agree more. I believe "me and my teammates" is the proper sentence structure.Very good!

Expect to wait a long time. I will also twiddle my thumbs in anticipation.Does the endowment have anything to do with the paid athletes? And actually this should probably be looked at by our legislature. If the numbers that have been provided by the U are not true, there have been multiple public disclosure laws violated. And it sounds like we have a couple of whistleblowers on this site who can contradict what the U is saying about the AD profits. This is a big deal. I look forward to them publicly coming forward.
Endowment dollars are restricted funds based on agreements with donors. They cannot be spent outside the agreement. The benefit of an endowment is earnings outside the 4-5% is returned to the budget. So the principe is preserved and investment policies benefit the institution.Does the endowment have anything to do with the paid athletes? That's exactly what you want in any recruit, especially a QB.Sure smells like he expects to start.
You may need some education on how endowment funds work.Couldn’t agree more. U of M endowment is over $5 billion. But they cant afford to pay players that are making them all rich.
He has a clear shot at winning the starting job and I'm guessing he doesn't lack for confidence in himself and his abilities. Hopefully he fully took advantage of this past year and learned everything he could from Brosmer in regards to how he reads defenses and processes information.Sure smells like he expects to start.
Scandalous...or it wasn't allowed by the rules (still isn't) and that is why they couldn't pay the athletes. (not to mention that isnt how endowments work)Couldn’t agree more. U of M endowment is over $5 billion. But they cant afford to pay players that are making them all rich.
