Drake Lindsey: Can’t wait for this 2025 season with This team and all our coaches! Let’s rock!!

Because Minnesota. That's all.
Also nobody seen this guy, and he's not a 5*

I suspect many of the folks doing these rankings never even heard of Drake's name until they sat down to write the thing.

Yet again the list of Big Ten QBs is full of unknowns and transfers. Just 6 teams have the same QB they had last year and that counts USC who had Maiava who only started for the last part of the season.

Returning Starters:
Allar - PSU
Altmeyer - Illinois
Maiava - USC
Raiola - Nebraska
Chiles - MSU
Kaliakmanas - Rutgers

In the world of transfers, it can be hard to jump on board with a Freshman QB. They are an unknown but it's not unprecedented to have success.

Look no further than Will Leavitt. A transfer redshirt freshmen at ASU led his team to the B12 Championship and nearly the final 4. In 2023 he appeared in 4 games for MSU. Completed 15 or 23 passes for 2 TDs and 2INTs.

This year with a new team and coaches he started all 13 games completing 61% of passes for 2,880 yards, with 24 TDs and 6 Ints.

Having a quality run game will be the key to success. Lindsey will have the benefit of not changing schools or systems.

Drake the 23rd rated QB and 3* 89 rating
Leavitt the 18th rated QB and 4* 90 rating

Buffalo won't be a pushover but glad we start the year with two home games against teams we should be able to beat before going on the road to play Cal. Would be even better if the Northwestern State game was first but better than having a power 4 team in that opening game.

Assuming Drake wins the job he will almost certainly have some growing pains but hopefully he was able to learn and develop a ton this season under Brosmer and he can be successful quickly.

I saw Drake play a lot of the fourth quarter in the RI route and my take-away was that he had ice-water in his veins.

I know...it was RI and we were not going to lose the game...nevertheless, he was on a football field of a Big10 P4 team.

Cool, calm, collected.

From what I've seen of him, he has a strong arm and a quick delivery. As far as team leadership and execution, that's a little tougher to judge in the short time he's had the offense (handful of plays). He does have a good mentor with Max...we shall see. I like what I've seen so far.
He doesn’t need to lead the team next year. He just needs to have leadership characteristics and stick to his business of playing QB. The leadership responsibilities will increase overtime.
