Maybe the Pioneer Press shouldn't tweet anything. But neither should the ESPN tweet "Petersen calling team meeting" It makes it sound like this was some 11th hour announcement, when it's nothing out of the ordinary.
 

First everyone gets excited about the meeting, then everyone becomes disappointed because it's about the bowl, etc. Geez, I guess if he really was quiting they'd just come out and say it when announcing the meeting. Not saying it's Petersen, which I've thought lately, but where in the world is the logic on this board?

I agree with your take. Besides, the BSU message boards are quiet. If this had any legs at all their chat rooms would be going apeshiite right now. Right now there's about 500 people on their board. Which is about 10% of Idaho's population.
 

I would love for this to be true, but how could Maturi and Petersen keep something like this under raps?

They would almost couldn't meet in person without someone in Boise or Minnesota getting wise to their plot
 


I had a good friend in Fargo who told me that Maturi met Craig Bohl (NDSU coach) in Bismarck in a helicopter.
