Yes, it's another thread, but thought it was worth a discussion not buried in one of the others. If Claeys really thinks he'll lose his job after the bowl, does he allow some or all of the 10 to play? They aren't suspended by the NCAA, so there's no eligibility issues there. And if he thinks at least some got railroaded and are innocent, would he allow them to travel and put them in?

If he truly wants to have a future in coaching after the bowl game, no.

especially those he knows are likely to transfer.....so they're already planning on giving up their scholarships.....and as you said.....none are r will be suspended by the NCAA from athletic competition nor are they in danger of being so.

as you said....if he has a great feeling of certainty that he is going to get tossed under the bus again after the bowl game no matter the outcome.....would be pretty interesting to see him just say f&ck it and get them to the game and allow them to play regardless of what kaler & coyle have personally "decreed" on their own.

Jerry kill is now 1 step away from being HC again, Claeys could already be positioning himself for his old job...

He'd be fired if they boarded that plane.

Exactly.

It's remarkable how some think this world works. This isn't a movie folks.

No way in hell Coyle allows him to publicly shame him.

ESPN would announce Claey's termination before those players saw the tarmac in the hypothesized fantasy world.

UNLESS.... Coyle is in on the long con here, and is giving the President a big F U too. I could then see Claeys and Coyle returning from a victorious bowl win, the President walking down the steps out of his office with a carboard box being escorted by a couple campus police followed by the members of the EOAA board.

Cue slow motion fist pump along with pump up music.

ROLL CREDITS!

I agree it will never happen. Serious question, aren't they ineligible anyway since they are all suspended from school or expelled pending their appeals? You have to be an enrolled student to participate, right? Even in the SEC?

Have any of them actually been expelled? The EOAA recommended expulsion but doesn't have the power to actually do it. I know they are all suspended from the team indefinitely but have any of them actually be expelled?
