Do you expect a Bowl game next year?

I also trust Coach Kill more than you when it comes to evaluating next year’s team. I do find it interesting that coach Kill who is not known for bold predictions, has stated that next year team will definitely be better. He goes on to make a compelling case as to why this will be the case. He is not predicting x number of wins but he is excited about next year. That is because the players have bought in and understand what they need to do. Football is 90% mental and Coach Kill is making major changes in our culture when it comes to understanding how important the mental part is in playing the game. Oh, I forgot to mention that Coach Kill also said he is an optimist. Well there goes his credibility.

just for the sake of argument... mich, purdue, and wiscy DESTROYED US... so by him saying improvement does that mean we just dont get smoked? also improvment doesnt mean more wins... maybe he means we will be more competitive with said improvment

like i said just for the sake of argument

Fry got to the Rosebowl in 3 years, Barnet in 4 years, Alverez in 4 years, Ferentz got to 1st place in 4 years. The bar has been set, Jerry.

As Jerry has said in the past there will be a turning point where the players will figure out how to win the games we are losing now. When that point will occur nobody can say for sure. That is why Oneoldgopher is correct in saying that we are going to need patience. My argument with him is not about that but that he is not in a position to begin to come close to knowing what Coach Kill knows about his players and what the potential of next year's team is. Nor am I, but like Coach Kill I am sure we will better next year. Part of my reason for saying this is that coach Kill understands the cultural and mental aspect of football much more than people realize. Or maybe I should say some fans don't seem to realize how Kill is changing that aspect of the program here. It is a thing of beauty.
