This is the only silver lining of missing the tournament to me. Not having to pretend like I think a loss in a play-in game counts as a tourney appearance in the even the Gophers got in and lost in Dayton.

Would have been huge for the program to get in this year, no matter how it happened though.

There should be a Selection Committee on whether or not a thread is too stupid to start.
 

I think they should change the formula with the play-in games a little. I think that any team that is a qualifier from their conference tournament should not be put in a play-in game but should be put straight into the main draw. I think it should be the last at-large teams to be considered that should compete in the play-in games. Let them duke it out for who gets to be in the "real" part of the tournament.
