Dont disagree with the concept and I wouldn't be surprised if it were true. Just sounds like quite the reach hearing it from your cousin's brother's father's friend's sister's frog.....

That said, the comments about not needing to be very smart to obtain an athletic scholarship/entrance to college... That is such a trite point that a bunch of internet tough guys like to post. I know a lot of kids that didn't get into college, so do you, and they are not as dumb as you seem to make it sound. You all must not employ humans if you haven't experienced just how uneducated America's majority is.

I have found this person to be very credible in the time I have known him and he has no motivation to lie about this. Haha, his connection was really not very ridiculous at all. Also, your point about knowing a lot of kids who didn't get into college... were they scholarship athletes in a major sport? Those standards are obviously much different.

In any case, I don't think it's fair to judge a player for not qualifying since we obviously don't know the exact reasons why. I especially don't like attributing it to how smart they are.
