Sorry but you are crazy! The uniforms worn against the Badgers last year should be the away standard.
 



I liked them. I wish the gray was a little bit darker though.
 



Did they look good? Yes. Do I ever want to see them again worn by our team? No.
 

They really didn't look that bad. The problem is, why have an alternate uniform when you already have 9 combinations?

How can people talk about 'branding' and then have NINE uniform combos.....plus and alternative?

I realize I won't win this argument, but can we at least stay with one recognizable helmet? MAROON.

Those were depressing and unnecessary. Learn from teams like the Montreal Canadiens and New York Yankees. Be true to your colors and stick to your traditions.

The timing of these after coach Kill's retirement was poor and trendy non-school color uniforms are nothing more than cash grabs in the name of merchandise sales. Gopher fans deserve more respect and credit than that.

And no gold on gold games either. Those are a damn eyesore even if it's a school color.

Actually they talked about on the TV broadcast that Claeys said Kill was part of the reason they wore them. Kill picked out the color and ordered them this season. Kill wanted the players to have another option and both he and the players loved them. Claeys said he wasn't all that crazy about them but decided to break them out Saturday because of Coach Kill. I really liked the alternate look and I'm sure future recruits liked them as well.
 




From Sec. 209 they looked gray/green.
Generally I don't like the Nike-influenced, Oregon approach to uniform, er costume, per game. An alternative is fine, but we already have two great colors and white to work with, why something like gray?
 





I am OK with alternate uniforms but I prefer they stick to combinations that are the school colors Maroon and Gold.
The accent colors of White and Gray and Black are OK to use but I would not make it habitual use.
 

They ought to do a maroon and gold cammo to honor MN hunting

They looked awesome on TV under the lights. Even my wife couldn't shut up about how nice they looked. Evolve or die.
 

They were OK.

Maybe for the Halloween weekend game only, though.

Loved 'em! Was wondering if we'd ever do anything really "alternate" like this and was PUMPED when I saw us run out of the tunnel! Love the comment above about evolve or die...these are the times, boys.
 

Ugliest uniforms I have ever seen the Gophers wear. At one point my wife got confused about which team was MN. It was a nice salute to Ohio State and their school colors. Everyone within ear range in our section thought they were disgusting.
 


I loved them. I was hoping we were gonna do something mean looking for Halloween and it was perfect. What I hated though was the replicas they were selling. Not even made by Nike, wrong placement of the M logo on the front, generic number 1 and wrong placement of the "MINNESOTA" text. Nike needs to make a limited version of this jersey with tackle twill numbers and letters and the flywire collar.
 

Nope. The helmet doesn't mesh at all. Maybe if they had done something there, I would have liked them. I'm one who likes an updated look to the classic unis. Lived through the Wacker days and that attempt to have a "fresh" look uni, so I'm pretty biased.

Totally with You on this! When did we change our school colors to Gray, Maroon and Gold???!!! Why ruin the best uniforms in the country? We need to stick with Maroon and Gold.
 


What was the cost of those ugly uniforms ?
