...to play in a Rose Bowl, Super Bowl, and Grey Cup?

It's one of the trivia questions in this new book I just previewed - Retro Football Games

Answer is Roger Hagberg who died in a car crash in 1970 while with the Oakland Raiders

I was in the 6th grade down in Rochester when that happened. Roger's niece and I were in the same class, was very sad. I'm still friends with her and the story that she tells is that he had been out at a bar and was walking back to his car when he was hit. He was obviously taken too soon.

I remember him well as a big part of those Gopher Rose Bowl teams. I probably heard, but don't remember those happenings of his passing. Yes, sad story and too early.
