I didn't have a chance to get over to the HOf to see the jug. I was just wondering if anyone took any pics. This is the only trophy I have not seen up close.

Go Gophers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the Gophers win the Axe and the Pig this year should they include the Bell in the team picture too?

Probably because that's where the score of the new game was painted...

Couldn't tell with the light glare. Should have just gotten a close up of the score if that was the purpose. That blue background and maize M is just hideous.

Had my picture taken with it after the 2005 game. Nothing like touching the jug!

Is that the display case that Brewster had built for it?

Just another reminder that Brew was 0-10 in trophy games (and to add insult to injury his interim successor won one in relatively short order).

If you missed seeing the LBJ last night it will be available at the T. Denny Sanford Athletics Hall of Fame at Minnesota Stadium (yes, I know what I did there in referencing the name of the stadium) for public viewing & pictures on BOTH Wednesday and Thursday (10/1 & 10/2) of this week from 5:30pm-8:00pm. Bring your cameras/phones and kiddies. Wear your maroon & gold proudly and loudly!

Fans planning on going should park in the Maroon lot next to the football stadium, then access the hall of fame through the Benton County entrance to the stadium.

Is the Maroon lot a pay lot during the day or is it just for stadium events? I'm trying to figure out if it will be crowded if I try to swing by quickly at 5:30 before needing to be somewhere at 6:00.

It will be nice later this year when you can go to TCF and get your picture with ALL the trophies! Go Gophers!!!

You should ask KFAN the same question.

?????

That IS the Minnesota side with the little kid there.

The Maroon Block M facing out (which is on the opposite side of the Michigan M) would have been better staging for a Gophers picture.

Don't quote me on this, but I think you will likely be fine as far as having to pay considering it will be after 5pm. Would be surprised if they still charge for parking after that time of day on a week day. Especially if you mention you are only stopping by quick to get a pic with the Jug. As far as whether or not it will be crowded couldn't tell you for sure, but guessing you will be able to get in and out of the lot fairly quickly if you need to.

You talking about the jug or the case? That is the Minnesota side of the jug in the picture.

Well worth the trip if you are anywhere close. Last night, they were even letting you touch it as longs as you didn't pick it up.

I'm assuming it's normally kept in the football complex? I know we went to see Floyd there a few years back, and just made sure to stop in during normal business hours when the building is open.

The case.

I wonder what the back of the case looks like? I have no idea, but that's the front of the case and it says "Football Trophy." So to get that "Football Trophy" in the picture, they may have had no choice but to get the Michigan M in there. Plus, I'd suggest you should want a little Michigan flavor in there to get the total feel of the rivalry trophy.

I believe it says the same thing on each side "i.e. Football Trophy". One side is in a maroon and gold color/font combo and the other is in a maize and blue color/font combo.

Went last night. Parking was free in the maroon lot.

Thanks for the update. Great to hear that is the case after all.

P.S. Glad to hear I was kind of "correct" in my earlier guess/assumption and didn't lead him/others down the path thinking they were going to get free parking in the maroon lot to go in to the HOF to view and not end up getting free parking.
