On Sunday, February 6, the jersey of Dick Garmaker will be retired. Garmaker, a Hibbing, Minnesota native, played for the Golden Gophers from 1953-55. In 1955, Garmaker was a consensus selection as a First Team All-American. In his two seasons as a Gopher, he scored 1,008 points and holds the Career Scoring Average record at 22.9 ppg.
