is Player of the Year for Broward County, Florida. This is over some pretty highly regarded players.

I wish signing day was tomorrow so we could lock this kid in. He's going to be pure money.

Straight cash?

I'm not aware of any other kind of money than straight cash money. If there is another kind, I want nothing to do with it.

Latest U signee!!

Just wondering what other schools he had offer's from. Must have been quite a few.
Anybody know? Thanks in advance.

Offers

Huge list of offers including Florida, Florida State, Michigan, and Michigan State, BC and others ;)

For some reason I am incredibly high on this kid. I have no idea who else truly offered, but the kid can obviously run.

The Badgers cooled on him.

Also, he is only a 5.5 on Rivals. I am surprised you guys are so high on him. Schoondler would not approve.

Of course the Badgers cooled on him, that goes without saying. Bielema has never lost a recruiting battle over someone that he was REALLY interested in.

I was kidding. I have no idea if they cooled on him. Badgers lose plenty of recruiting battles. Everyone does. Can't win them all.

I was not kidding about the 5.5. Schoondler will not be impressed.

He was player of the year over a guy that the badgers are supposedly "coveting"; White who is a 5.7 3* an rivals.

GV

That was funny.

I can always count on a "we cooled on him" comment to start laughing.

The Badgers do covet White. They have recruited him very hard and he is suppossedly leaning to the Badgers, but who knows. There is another back on his team going to Michigan that he splits carries with which would preclude him from putting up stats to win an award like an all county award. That does not take anything away from the Gophers recruit winning the award. You have to be a very good player to win that type of award in Broward County. The Rivals rating system is a bunch of bunk, if you have not figured that out yet.

I just report the numbers.

I only do so because they're quite predictive.

To illustrate how this should make you feel GVBadger:

:cry::cry:

I think Mike Bruesewitz and Jordan Taylor were both players of the year over Gopher recruits.

And rivals disagrees on the Florida and Florida State offers.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that Breadsmith was not on the debate team in HS.

Schnoodler: (on a football message board) "Rivals rankings are pretty indicative of future success".
Breadsmith: Yeah, well Mike Bruesewitc and Jordan Taylore won Mr. Basketball over Gopher recruits.

...ok.......(crickets)

I'm going to go ahead and say this: I don't get what Jordan Taylor and Mike Bruesewitz being basketball players of the year in Minnesota has to do with Devon Wright being player of the year for football in Broward County, Florida.

I'll simply ask breadtree to please clarify how this relates.

royce was mr basketball, brusewitz was ap player of the year.

who did the gophers recruit the year taylor won mr basketball? cody shilling? michael floyd? bergenn?

We never offered Jordan Taylor. I would imagine that we recruited Devoe Joseph instead of Jordan Taylor.

When Bruesewitz won AP player of the year there was a 3 page thread on the hoops board about how that award didn't really mean anything, how it was a result of players on White's team, etc etc.

But when Wright wins a similar award, it is quickly noted that he won it over James White without any mention of Giovanni Bernard's effects.

Just saying.

This thread has now officially made my effing head explode. wtf?!

That Joey Mauer had one heck of a jump shot.

Imagine him and Shane Schilling in the same backcourt
