Will Desmond Gant be able to crack the starting lineup as a WR? He is part of the trio of 2014 WR class. Melvin Holland Jr., and Isiah Gentry are on the depth chart.

It looks like he is spending time on special teams his RS Fr year. I look forward to these three contributing to the team next season.

If Dedrick Snelson signs and plays as a true Freshman, it will make the WR corps that more deep and competitive with Gant, Holland, Gentry, Drew Wolitarski, Eric Carter, Rashad Still, and Hunter Register all in the mix.

Im a bit disappointed in Gentry, Gant, and Holland this year. The injuries and being passed up on the depth chart by a true freshmen in Still. Hopefully next year they improve.

Depth in names only. It's still the biggest question mark on offense heading into next season.

The lack of respect for Wolitarsky's ability to contribute always surprises me here. What does he lack? Then, again, I guess it doesn't surprise me.

What I see that he lacks is the agressiveness to go and get the ball if its off target. If it isn't aimed for his hands he doesn't try.

Grant has terrible hands. He should be on defense.

I assume you are talking about Gant? Interesting comment as I have not heard of that as an issue for Gant. For MHjr yes, but not for Gant.

There were reports coming from fall camp that Gant was having trouble hanging on to the ball. Plus he had a bad drop in the spring game.

Fans need to relax about the redshirt freshmen WR's though. Look how long it took for KJ Maye to figure it out. Still passing them is more of a positive thing for Rashad then a negative for the other guys. Give them time.

The receiving corps has had their best year by far in the Kill/Claeys era. The problem is that Maye, Woli, and Carter are all ideally suited to play slot, yet we're forced to keep playing them on the outside. Best situation for next year is that both Still and one of the redshirts (Gentry, Gant, or MHJ) are ready for a full-time roles on the outside and that Carter/Woli can play the slot and occasionally get snaps outside.

Gentry being hurt has been a blow IMO. In the few games he saw action, you could just see that he had natural ability and a burst. I think he will end up being a good Big Ten WR and the best one here since Decker. (I mean who is that currently? KJ or AJ).? I hope he can stay healthy.
