In the O-D All American bowl. What are the odds that the gophers and their QB commit play in the exact same city in the exact same stadium in the exact same two day span? Interesting.

Demry Croft has been selected as an All American Quarterback. Congratulations Demry! As a result, Demry will be playing in the All American O-D (offensive - defensive) Bowl at the Florida Citrus Bowl on Friday, January 2, 2015. The O-D Bowl selects from the top 88 high school players in the country.
 

Interesting prospect. Imagine if we had an elite runner at QB with the same opportunities Leinder had this year. Those 13 yard scampers to the sideline could have gone for a whole lot more. A potential game breaker at all three phases of the jet sweep would be fun (see OSU, Oregon)

Looks like the other three QBs in the game are committed to Kentucky, Louisville and Virginia FWIW
 


Just wondering if each player gets a vial of heroine, a needle and a rubber cord as a participation present for being in the OD game? s/ :cool02:

.........Minnesota got a huge bargain when Croft committed to the Gophers.........

"He's so good it's scary," Auburn coach Dan Appino said. "I have seen some really good guys to compare him against, and never had anyone with his size and ability to flick the ball as well as run. He makes the ability to throw over the middle look easy because of his height."

And while Croft is the first NIC-10 quarterback to sign with a Big Ten school since Guilford's Len Williams became a four-year starter at Northwestern more than a quarter century ago, Appino thinks Croft deserved to go even higher.

"I don't understand why we don't have major powers in the nation looking at him," Appino said. "I don't get it. He's going to be 6-6 and 225. He makes all the throws and he can run. He's a guy who can play on Sundays I think."

While no one yet knows how good Croft can be -- recruiting experts paint him as somewhat unpolished, since he played receiver as late as early last year, but with an exceptionally high ceiling --
