Why is that called on the Gophers? Is the DB supposed to stay upright and take on the pulling guard?

I've never heard of that call before. Twice today in favor of the badgers, though.

Simply unbelievable-yet-so-very-predictable, the performance of the zebras today in Madison. Never changes. Ever.

Since when is it illegal for a defender to take out a blocker by cutting him? Certainly strange.

I don't understand this one either.

How can you block if you don't have the ball? I've seen defenders take out blockers like this all the time. You're not supposed to go low on an engaged player when you're blocking on OFFENSE - I get that. Is this an obscure rule I don't know? Never seen it called that I'm aware of... and twice today. Brutal.

Suck it up. You're offense gave the game away. Thanks Mitchy!! Looking good as always!

Blocking on defense has rules as well. 100% right call in both situations. Defense has to be trying to make tackle to go low. No one can go low on punt or kickoff.
