St. Thomas (7-4, 4-6 ATS)

NET -- Tommies move up 17 spots to #144
Torvik -- Tommies move up 13 spots to #138

St. Thomas extended its nation-best home-court winning streak Sunday afternoon in an 88-65 romp over Weber State (4-5). The Tommies and Duke share the nation's longest streak at 22, with Akron and Miami-Ohio one behind.

Nolan Minessale paced UST with a career-high 32 points, 5 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks, while shooting 12-of-16 from the floor and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. Nick Janowski (14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists) and Carter Bjerke (11 points, 5 rebounds, 3-for-7 from trey) also scored in double figures.

The Tommies look to extend the home winning streak Thursday when they host former Division III MIAC rival Saint John's at 7 p.m. at Lee and Penny Anderson Arena.

Sunday Eye-Openers
-- Hofstra 80 @ Pitt 73: The Panthers lose their second home game to a non-Power 5 opponent. It begs the question, how in the heck did Ohio State lose to that sad outfit?

-- @ Nebraska 71, Creighton 50: The Cornhuskers quietly remain undefeated while the Bluejays appear destined for an uncharacteristic long season.

-- UNLV 75 @ Stanford 74: The Runnin' Rebels have been schizo with home losses to UT-Martin and Montana and a nice road win at Memphis, and they continued that trend with a second solid road win vs. the previously 1-loss Cardinal. Welcome to Josh Pastner's world.

Dribbles & Scribbles
-- Minessale is averaging 21.2 points per game, and through Dec. 6 ranked 29th in the nation in that category. He's scored 20 or more points in nine of the Tommies' 11 games.

-- In my opinion, Michigan is now the favorite to cut down the nets on Championship Monday. Yes, ahead of Duke, ahead of Arizona, ahead of UConn, ahead of Houston, ahead of Iowa State, and ahead of Purdue (the preseason favorite). There's NBA talent, bulk, and experience up the ying-yang. For the most part Wolverine games have been Men vs. Boys. It'll be interesting to see how UM handles that mantra the rest of the way.
