al, hoff, trevor, rodney, and chip head for the exit.

and you thought it was unwatchable this year??

What kind of odds are you giving?

I'll bet my entire life savings.

Yeah, that won't happen. This season was an EPIC fail, but I don't see lightning striking twice. However, I really hope we've seen the last of a few players on this team. I'm not going to name them by name, because that's probably not appropriate, but Tubby needs to run at least one or two guys off and try to get some D-1 level players in to replace them.

Al - Im confident a JC player can replace him. Maybe one that can shoot too
Hoff- Dime a dozen
Trevor- Ouch that will hurt
Rodney- Who cares?
Chip- Cool hes athletic

Ohio State won't have that guy that grabs useless rebounds anymore so they'll probably get better.

Losing Al and Hoff will hurt. A lot. We won't lose Trevor, we won't lose Rodney, and Chip is eminently replaceable.

Pretty sure Al is/was a lot better than JC player will be. And as unathletic/slow Hoff was, you're gonna have a hard time finding a better shooter IMO.

Is chip going to be a lottery pick

chip = bryant allen

also chip competes... tubby does not.. he just makes excuses ( repeat: al, al, al, al, al, al ). chip's personality is a better fit in football.

rodney was a projected lottery pick a year ago... think he hasn't forgotten that? he need a wide open, run/gun system.. Europe. anywhere but here...

to quote a famous GHer:

" NBA talent is only NBA talent when it is in motion "

with "Tubby Time", lightning, in some form, is always striking. i turned the game off at half.. the 2nd half was scripted.. same thing for 2 months now...

with tubby's ACE:

" if only Al was healthy... now where do i sign".

You sure seem to have a lot of insight.

where's your 'insight'???

pick:

1.) Al was hurt.
2.) Devoe transferred.

no one, IN THE HISTORY OF ORGANIZED BASKETBALL, has ever overcome the loss of a poor shooting PG with a loose handle and a selfish 8th man..

no one.
ever.
ever.
never..

then the fact we one 1 game down the stretch is an absolute miracle from GOd... a true lightning strike..

If those were the only two occurances that happened the last two years, we'd be in the tournament right now, wondering what seed we were gonna be.

two years?
after next year's dud, you stretch that to three... then four... then five.

a decade from now, you'll post:

If those were the only X occurances that happened the last 12 years, we'd be in the tournament right now, wondering what seed we were gonna be.

keep drinking the cool aide... keep signing tubby's check..

from a data perspective isn't this a fair estimate?

wouldn't 10 games be a large enough sample size?
wouldn't the last 10 games of the year be data used to estimate how next year may start?
the significant difference between the first 10 games and the last 10 was missing Nolen, and he won't be here next year?
Only Indiana matched Minnesota's futility in the last 10 games

I'd rather have Tubby figuring out how to right the ship than most any other coach, but I am wondering why the ship couldn't be righted in the last 10 games.

It is a waste of time to try to rationalize with this guy, as we've seen. He feels differently, which is fine. Don't bother with trying to use rationale, though. It won't work.

My opinion would be that we'll be solidly in the field of 68 next year, assuming Ralph and Trevor return. I'd guess somewhere in the 7-10 range. I, too, would bet a ton of money on us not being in last place, but hey, we'll see.

This may be controversial, but i just don't think we are going to miss Hoff much. You just can't have a 2 guard that is unable defend or penetrate. The loss of Al really showed how much of a 1 dimentional player Hoff was - catch and shoot. He is absolutely painful to watch on the defensive end, and has no chance to prevent penetration. On a good team, Hoff would have been a shooting specialist. I will agree that Blake was pretty good in a 3 guard offense like last year.

i said this in December and was roasted by the hoff-loving faithful who couldn't separate their love for a local boy from reality...

"if hoff plays 20 minutes or more per game we are 1/done in the Dance"..

close... we are 0/done.

I know this is fruitless, but I'll keep humoring you since I'm bored. 2 years is far from a trend. Last year was unprecedented with the issues and transfers. This year was more normal, but after last season, it left little margin for error. But you're right, 12 years from now, I'll be saying the same things after Tubby's 10th straight non-NCAA season, but we'll keep him around because he's won a title lol.

I've said this before, if e keep losing players, then something needs to be done beyond just simple coaching. It's on the entire program if they can't keep players in it. Tubby is a central figure in that, but he wasn't the sole reason.

apparently dboy the troll would like to be banned as quickly as possible. See ya dboy. Nobody should be feeding this troll.

I'll follow up GopherOhana's point.

Let's flip it around.

Please provide insightful analysis as to why next year will be BETTER than this year. Recent data clearly indicates a linear downward trend. What happens to break it?

Recent data? One down season? You'd make a SPECTACULAR statistician, buddy.

I guess, what are you out to prove/what's your ultimate goal? To get Tubby fired? To make us all "see the light" and realize that hey, this guy was right four months ago so he must be smarter than the rest of us?

We blew chunks to end the season. Trolling about it is ridiculous.
