Illinois football just had a nose tackle denied a 6th year. The argument is that he played 5 games at Northwestern (4 is the limit) his sophomore year.
Basketball doesn’t have the 4 game rule. It’s as soon as you enter a game barring injury in the first 30% of games. Hard to imagine they will give another year to someone with 16 games.
I think your argument has merit.
If it were an orthopedic injury, I think that is a done deal. However, the last 5 he played could be seen in a different light. If I am arguing for him for a mental health waiver - which he has already been granted for the transfer sit out, thus that is established.
Garcia being a normal starter is pulled early from the 11th game. The next game he treis to return and only plays 2 minutes. Takes brief leave of absence. Not understanding what is happening, he tries a second return. He’s completey inaffective and its reflected in his stats. After trying 3 times he has to give up for the season.
Since he originally obtained the medical waiver for mental health, he has evidence of seeing mental health professional (and they clearly gave him evidence of diagnosis).
So I am submitting that if you turn those games as further evidence of injury. Note that it had to be seen in the context of basketball to be understood, then, the Millenzenials that judge one at the NCAAs will eat that shit up.
If that does not work, you stomp, cry, and issue demands that are above the scope of the authority you issue them toward.
Lastly, we’ll have everyone at the U burn things that are totally unrelated to the case. Take over buildings and whatever else that they do.
