David Shama says U's lack of facilities could lead to us being forced out of Big Ten

they won't force anybody out exactly. But I could see some of the big $$$$ schools in the B1G arguing for something other than an equal distribution of B1G Network $$$$. There will be no free-riders.

Exactly. At what point do the more valuable programs/brands get tired of contributing more to the Big Ten coffers to get an equal amount back as the less valuable/popular programs. Not just network revenue either but also bowl revenues.

Can see why Gee Gee wants to bring Bowl Games into it.Big Ten Network revenue is derived from who is willing to carry the service and how many viewers it will bring. Those would be based on football and basketball maybe even Women's Sports, hockey and everything needed to fill those hours, but particularly football and basketball. Not good for Minnesota, certainly not good for the schools you love either. Nobody outside the Midwest cares about Wisconsin Football.

Badger or Cornhusker basketball? BTN might get more coverage if they promised never to televise those games.

Well Shama, at least the Trolls love your stuff.

"It seems kind of strange that a school the size of the U of M, in a Twin Cities market that is home to SOOOO many giant corporations and businesses, is lagging so much in funding and donations."

It's also the home of the Minnesota Vikings, the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Wild, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Minnesota Lynx, and The State of Hockey. Not to mention 10,000 fishing lakes, deer hunting, and snowmobiling. Perhaps the fans' sports dollar has more pulls on it here than in other college football markets.

Shama is full of $hit like a Christmas Goose.
