Cobb seemed to get the workload for this game... 11 carries and 53 yards for a 4.8 average vs Atlanta. They lost by a TD 31 to 24 to Atlanta at their place. Long run of 10 yards.
Sankey had 8 carries for 15 yards...so Cobb's stats crush the guy behind him. Don't know anything else...just from the box score.
But Cobb is off to a solid beginning.
 

Cobb started the second half, clearly behind Sankey at this point. He looked good, but it's hard to quantify in pre-season. They had first and goal from about the 6. Gave it to Cobb and he got to around the two, then came out. Some guy named Andrews got the TD. Looks like he might be their short yardage back, he looks about 240+. All told I'd give him a B+. Made some nice cuts, powered for some extra yards, although nothing exceptional. Pre-season is a crap-shoot. Who was his OL, Who was the D, what were the D doing, who was the QB, what were each coordinator trying to get out of it, etc., etc.
 

Looks like the same guy from last year. Not a burner, but has excellent vision and some power, which allows him to pick up those few extra yards that other backs might not.

Saw that 'Shede got credited with 1 tackle (at last viewing of the boxscore).

Anybody know how my playing time he got? My boys tuned in late, and did not see him.

He started for them but didn't play much after the first series or two from what I could tell. Probably a good sign actually.
 

David ******* Cobb! I wanted to say it one more time.

From a quick look at their game thread over at gotitans, the fans were very impressed. One game, but they sound exactly like we did. If Sankey is as hapless as they say, either Cobb or Antonio Andrews will be the starter sooner rather than later.

A typical comment:

"Cobb has to be the starter. Sankey is garbage. I know this is against backups, but his running style is so much better."
