So, he got more than half of his votes in the most populous counties in the state - what's wrong with that? We don't have an electoral college system where you need to win the most counties, you need the most votes. He got them. Winning Hennepin County SHOULD count for a lot more than winning small counties in outstate Minnesota because it contains more people.
Yeah I was just making a statement about the irony of calling out Thompson as having the exact supposed qualities as the current governor and then saying he could never be governor.
Thanks to 2727 for pointing out the lunacy in complaining about a guy winning an election by total number of votes. The alternative system of counting Hennepin County the same as Aitkin County in an electoral college process would ensure people living in rural areas have 100x the voting power of those in urbanized ones.
