In case you were wondering.

Darnold - 10g, 67.9%, 2387y,
19 TD/10 int, 100 qbr, 8-2 record

Cousins - 11g, 68.1%, 2807y,
17 TD/9 int, 96.6 qbr, 6-5 record

You misspelled Athan/Brosmer. Otherwise I'm not sure what this has to do with Gopher football or college football.

I'm surprised Darnold's QBR isn't significantly higher as he's much more mobile. The turnovers must be pulling him down.

edit: never mind. I thought you were referencing ESPN's QBR instead of passer rating.

I noted that one of Kirk's most fervent defenders on Twitter is now complaining that Atlanta is not providing Kirk with the support he needs. because it's never Kirk's fault.

My apologies to all y'all for posting this in the wrong category.

I like the thread no matter where it's posted. It tells a very interesting story about Salary Cap expenditures on QBs and how they equate to team wins.

Darnold is going to be in a fairly unique situation this coming offseason (obviously depending on how he plays the rest of the season).

Neither his history nor his play even this season warrant BIG money deals in Free Agency; but I just took a look at the expected crop of FA QBs for spring 2025 and holy shit; it's absolutely terrible.

Combine that with the fact that this doesn't appear to be a great QB draft, Darnold could do really, really well. If I'm a team picking in the top 5 or so of the draft next spring, I have to seriously consider resisting the temptation to take a QB you don't LOVE. I know the Raiders will be near the top of the draft and I hope they don't draft one of these QBs, despite the entire fanbase screaming for a top 5 drafted QB.
