Oh yes!
They are one of the great achievements of now-defunct Apex One. They were trying to challenge Starter (and on a much bigger level, Nike) and came up with some wild designs in that era. Those M_M uniforms have been so universally ridiculed that they are now cult favorites. (Sort of like "something becomes popular because it is soooo bad")
If these things didn't coincide with one of the worst periods of on-field performance in Gopher football history it would be fun to bring them back once as a throwback. Same with Iowa's even worse unis from the same era.for the love of god i hope they don't plan on wearing these in game. these are easily the worst uniforms in the history of gopher football and i don't think there's a close second
The new ones we got a couple months ago are played outI personally love these. Not as actual college football uniforms, mind you. But as fan apparel, these kind of rule. Unique yet identifiable.....while also being legitimate designs that the team wore at one point. Might be time for a new Gophers jersey.
I can almost see the p, q, r, s and t waves of that EKG. At least they didn't appear to present ST elevation (maybe indicative of an ongoing heart attack), or depression (the heart is not getting enough O2) IIRC.These jerseys and hats and pants would be fine without the cardiac rhythm.
Here me out on this - throwback shoulder pads. Today's players would have no idea how to defend.
