Daniel Oturu added to the Chicago Bulls' training camp roster

Oturu just needs to find the right situation, long term I think he's longer for the League than Amir

The Timberwolves coach was interviewed the other day on a national radio show, I saw his name and did not know who he was. That how far they have fallen. They should have signed Oturu, I may have at least glanced. And yes, off the top of my head I can tell you first pick ever was Pooh Richardson and they brought in Tony Campbell fresh of a championship to ball jack.

The TWolves are one of the worst franchises in the history of pro sports. Yes, they should have signed Oturu. No doubt. But, we could start a list a mile long of should haves with them.

TWolves mistakes begin and end with trading Shutlesworth for Marbury.
Could of had KG, Allen and Googs. All they would have needed was a distributor.

What about Gobert and Giannis instead of Muhammad and Dieng?

Chicago Bulls: Daniel Oturu can bring depth, versatility to the frontcourt

There were still a few ways that the Chicago Bulls front office could address some roster holes heading into Training Camp this week. And that’s what the Bulls were partially able to do ahead of the start Training Camp and the preseason with the latest free agent signing.

The Bulls reportedly (per ESPN’s Malika Andrews on Twitter on the night of Sep. 26) added the former Los Angeles Clippers big man Daniel Oturu via free agency on a training camp deal. Oturu was part of a trade deal along with point guard Patrick Beverley and point guard Rajon Rondo, who went to the Memphis Grizzlies for the return of guard Eric Bledsoe.

The Grizzlies would then promptly waive Oturu, which made him available for a team like the Bulls to bring in for Training Camp and the preseason.

Oturu is a former 33rd overall pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft. And then, the Timberwolves traded Oturu to the Clippers ahead of the start of last season.

Go Gophers!!

If we had kept Allen with KG we wouldn’t have been drafting that high

why? We passed him by in the draft for Flynn....
I heard Curry was not entertaining the idea of playing for the Wolves very positively, was going to pull a John Elway or an Eli Manning type move and demand trade if drafted. Kahn didn't have the stones to call his bluff : )

Shooter chimes in:

Former Cretin-Derham Hall and Gophers forward Daniel Oturu, recently released by the Memphis Grizzlies and subsequently signed by the Chicago Bulls, will have a tough time making the final roster. Best bet is a deal in Europe worth about $250,000.

I think Marbury career would have been different he had stayed in Minnesota, he was a dumb kid who didn't understand the new bargaining rules for contracts. Marbury and KG had a special chemistry in those years and he was never the same once he left and I think deep down he realized that he fucked up

Oturu does have the Pitino endorsement to Donovan, so at worst I believe he gets a very fair evaluation.

He's shorter than we realized. That's what hurts him.

I think he has enough game to play a few years.
good point. I just looked him up and hes 6'8. Thats a wing player in today's NBA.

Doesnt mean he cant play, big men shorter than him have made decent NBA careers

I dont think Oturu has a future career in the NBA. His best bet is to find something in Europe. Amir has a better size/skill set combination and is sticking around longer.

Now that the best college players are getting paid.... Oturu still has eligibility left- let him come back!! :)
