DJ is averaging 27.2 minutes/game and 2.8 rebounds/game.

We need much more production out of him on the glass.

Go Gophers!!

1 rebound every 9 minutes played for the supposed Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year will NOT get it done.

Rodney is even worse. Why in the world would we start a Rodney/DJ/Sampson front court against a team that can rebound team like Miami?

Johnson is outweighed by opposing power forwards by 30+ lbs. As a team they are over matched on the boards.

They are outmatched, but not by size...DJ is skinny, but Ralph and Colt managed to only pull down 4 boards last night, in a total of 39 minutes for the two of them. Nolen was our leading rebounder with 6, and Westbrook had 3 (as did DJ, Devoe, and PC), and those are our two smallest guys.

Damian (and Ralph to a certain extent) have fallen too in love with the blocked shot. Damian goes for a blocked shot EVERY time. That leaves his woefully out of position to rebound EVERY time. Ralph is in the same boat frequently. Not saying they shouldn't go for the blocked shot, but it has a huge impact on rebounding. They do block a lot of shots, too, so that is good, but there's a balance there that has to be met.
