The NCAA put USC, UConn, and the entire SEC on hold so they could concentrate on the scourge of the outlaw programs-SE Missouri State. It’ll be interesting if they get as tough with the above listed programs when their time comes:

Mike DeCourcy opines that Evan Turner might be the best option at point guard for the Buckeyes this season. While Turner’s a wonderful player, I’m intrigued how he would handle the Gophers’ pressure in their showdowns:

When I first heard that Villanova’s Reggie Redding was arrested for a minor marijuana charge, I didn’t blink-I figured he would be suspended through the exhibition games and then reinstated. You have to admire Villanova by sticking to their student conduct code and for Jay Wright publicly supporting the decision. Redding will be missed at the Puerto Rico Classic and against Maryland, but the integrity shown is admirable:

The NCAA punishments

are so inconsistent. I don't have the data in front of me but Indiana and Oklahoma come to mind. How are these differences justified or is the NCAA just that corrupt.

Giving someone a ride and one $239 fee? It was probably easier than getting it waved; we all know how one's average U admin works. Whatever. I still have never heard of any school getting hit as hard as our beloved UofM.
