Crean tells former IU assistant: 'You helped wreck our program!' (video)

Myron and Dakich "discuss"

@dandakich: Just cuz media is talking about Crean/Meyer has no bearing on what IU accomplished..who cares what media is talking about..get over urself

@MedcalfByESPN: @dandakich Whatever. Crean put himself in that position. He didn't have to do that. That's why the media is talking about it.

@dandakich: @MedcalfByESPN great good for media..who cares what media thinks w regard to accomplishment

@MedcalfByESPN: @dandakich Who's knocking what they've accomplished? ... And in their best moment, Crean did something that diminished it, not the media.

@dandakich: @MedcalfByESPN diminished according to u and other media..who cares where u approve?

@MedcalfByESPN: @dandakich Find the story, Dan. Where did I "diminish" anything they did? You're making excuses for Crean's behavior. That's garbage.

@dandakich: @MedcalfByESPN haven't read urs..tired of media whining and telling others how 2 act when they haven't a clue..

@MedcalfByESPN: @dandakich "The media" ... Baloney. And that's fine. He goes off on another coach with cameras rolling. And that's our fault? Haha

I actually like Dakich on the games with Tirico...but, his twitter/radio gig have me mystified. I don't know if it's a bit, but he's always taking up the unpopular side. Specific examples: he plays this incident down, plays up GR3 "punching" Hulls during first matchup when nobody else was running with it and claiming GR3 did it on purpose...then he backs Bo Ryan (when no one else was) for the transfer ban that he put on the kid that redshirted his first year at Wisconsin...name escapes me.

Seth Davis also called him out on twitter today...

I agree - Normally I like Dakich's commentating, but his Twitter conversation with Myron makes no sense. Myron won that one easy.

Interestingly, in coming to Crean's defense Dakich is clearly taking a side against Meyer. Perhaps there is some animosity between the two stemming from when they were both at Indiana and the NCAA was coming down on them. Maybe Meyer tried to throw Dakich under the bus to the NCAA in an attempt to escape penalties himself. Just a guess; maybe I am reading into things too much.

He is one of those guys that goes out of his way to make sure the public knows he is a man of God; then consistently acts likes the biggest a-hole in college BB. The guy is such a tool, his handshakes after a loss show how big of a b!tch he is.

Kinda ironic since Dakich was on that IU staff

Um, isn't the reason Crean is even at IU is because the program was wrecked? If anything, he should be thanking that guy.

Me thinks that was simply Crean playing to the cameras.

+1- This. That's the first thing I thought when I started reading this post. He got the job because of the screw ups of the previous staff. I also think he calculates many of his moves/ actions.

Regarding the "sincere" actions with Oladipo... What about the trash talking with Trevor?

Crean is a self-serving a-hole. This seems par for the course for him.

Like Rouser said, take the high road.

Yeah, that was my impression of the confrontation. By telling Meyer how badly he wrecked the program (and of course, with a camera and mike on his shoulder) he was really stating how much he himself did to resurrect it. A pompous Prick with ears.

That made Dakich sound like a 14 year old. So the best thing to do when you're "tired of the media whining" is to whine?

Good to see someone being honest and having it caught on film. Crean said nothing that any honest person wouldn't have said to a former worker who had hurt a company. Good for Crean.

If Crean felt so strongly about this, do the mature thing and confront Meyer in private at the time he became involved with IU. Doing it in public and out of anger is not modeling good behavior for his players. As for his "public" talk with Oladipo, it looked all for show to me. DO that in the locker room

All for show. BS move by Crean. Did you see how he was smiling when the other guy made him walk away? All for the cameras. Same with his love fest with Oladipo.

From what I have read this coach was not guilty of anything according to the NCAA. At least that is what I have read. I agree with the ones who said Crean is a POS. It was no difference for them for hiring that head coach to start with he was already in trouble with the NCAA from when he was at Tenn.

What makes it even more odd to me is that Meyer has been at Michigan for five years. They had to have crossed paths at some point before this.

Crean is like a WWE wrestler. This (both the Meyer episode and the Oladipo one) was all for show for the Indiana fans.

They will turn on him quickly if things go wrong. He is too fake.

I wonder if can cry well.
