Last year some band mom got on social media and complained about the band's trip to the pinstripe bowl. The complaints seemed a little out of touch.

Easy way to avoid that this year: don’t send the band.
They should not be traveling big $$$ for a toilet bowl.
If they do it should be by bus.

In 2015, when I was in the band, when we went to Detroit it was indeed by bus.
Can confirm… band is traveling by bus this year.

Heck in 2019 the student ticket holders (not the band) went by bus to Tampa.
That had to be a hell of a ride.
From what I recall, it wasn't that bad of a bus ride. It's a coach bus so the seats aren't that far off airplane seats anyway and between conversations, phones, and books there was plenty to keep you entertained while you weren't sleeping. The only thing that sticks out in my mind is there was weather either during or after the game and there was a bit of time where we thought we may get stuck in Detroit another night (if I recall correctly). Ended up being able to leave on time.
