Crawford-Tufts: "I hate Wisconsin. I always have. The Packers, the Wisconsin Badgers"

Go Gophers!!

You don't hear that very often.

I think they will go out of there way to really hit him hard and as someone who has coached, you have to know that there will be a little extra spice in those hits.

Exactly what type of extra spice did your players hit with?

I love it! If the whole team takes on this attitude it could level out some differences in individual ability.

You bite your tongue, Mr. Henderson. Sidney Moncrief and Paul Pressey are icons.

That's why it's so impressive! :) Hell, I think Sconnies forget they even have the Bucks.

It's only because they're not any good, just like no one ever talked about the Brewers until this year. For all their talk, Wisconites are fair-weather fans through and through.

Guess who gets tattooed on Saturday?
If you think a player can get any more up to hit a particular player harder, than anyone else in a rivals uniform, you don't understand rivalry games.

50 lb head gives his players the 'secret' sauce with which to hit opposing players who have made brash statements. Only regular (or Arby's) sauce distributed to his players if no opposing player make any statements.

anywhere I can get the gopher shooting the badger? That is great and needs to be emailed and sent to a few idiot badger friends

"There's only two things I hate in this world... People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and people from Wisconsin. #Gophers"

Tweet from Gophers Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.

And yet in 2004, when the Brewers had 67 wins and the Twins had 92, the Brewers drew more people to the ballpark.

And yet in 2011, when the Twins had 63 wins, and the Brewers had 96 wins, the Twins outdrew them to the ballpark. What's your point?

Christian Ponder also referred to the Packers as the Cheeseheads yesterday. I know, I know, off topic.

Oh, I'm almost 60 years old so I've seen a lot more rivalry games than anyone on here except Wren.

I'm just saying players should worry more about how fast their feet move more than how fast their mouths move.

Yeah the stadiums the two teams played in had nothing to do with that. Fact is, they weren't even close to selling out Miller Park in it's first season. And the next year it was barely 1/2 full. Wisconsin has their share of fair-weather fans just like every other market, including Minnesota.

If you didn't know anything about these two states, this these would tell you which state owns the other. I can say....I don't hate Minnesota at all. I love seeing the Gophers, Vikings or Twins on the schedule.

Why do you enjoy seeing the Twins on the schedule? The Twins hold the all-time series lead, along with the series lead since interleague play started. I'll love to hear this answer.

Because it's a great rival! Fun to play you guys. I don't hate Minnesota sports. And it's just baseball. It kills time until football and college hoops. This from a fan who follows the Brewers daily for my whole life. Baseball is fun. But not football or college hoops.

You really need to see a shrink if you don't think that sports at all levels is merely a diversion.
