Crawford-Tufts: "I hate Wisconsin. I always have. The Packers, the Wisconsin Badgers"
Crawford-Tufts was injured against Michigan State when he took a helmet to the quadriceps on a kickoff return. But he cleared up any doubt he'll play Saturday against Wisconsin.
The freshman said Wednesday that he has practiced all week and will be playing in the Battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe. In fact, he wouldn't miss it.
"I hate Wisconsin. I always have. The Packers, the Wisconsin Badgers, everybody," he said. "I have watched all the Wisconsin games for a long time and I am excited to play in this one."
The freshman from Edina said he was offered a scholarship by Wisconsin but he "didn't really even think about it" and wanted to stay home in Minnesota.
Crawford-Tufts -- like everyone who spoke this week -- said how big it would be for the "U" to win the Axe from Wisconsin for the first time since 2003.
"It would probably be the greatest thing that's ever happened to me," he said.
