Cooper at Strong Safety?

If you believe starting = better.

The stop watch, tape measure, talent evaluators and professional scouts are on my side as well as stats against superior high school talent. Mike Rallis played Minnesota high school football where anybody could put up big numbers.

Dude, we don't need to go through all this again, but who are these professional scouts you speak of?

Are you are talking about the guys that work at scout and rivals? I know plenty of those folks and professional doesn't really come to mind

Oh holy flying spaghetti monster...all those things happened TWO YEARS AGO. Being a stud in HS means nothing in Division I football if you don't continue to improve. Some stud players continue to get better and remain stud players. Others never get better and become busts. Just like some low ranked HS kids become studs while others sit the bench at South Central Louisiana State University. Its about what you do when you get to DI football that matters. Which is why you can't use his rankings from back then as any sort of measuring stick for today. Especially not when talking about a specific player.

Recruiting rankings are great as a general tool for determining team talent level and giving a general sense of who might be a good player in the future. They don't predict wins or losses or specifics like who will be your best linebacker once the kid has been at your school for two years. Those things are determined by actual, recent performance that ya know, means something today.

Are you trolling or are you seriously this dumb?

Somebody should inform the Dallas Cowboys that Marion Barber III played HS football in Minnesota so they can cut him. I can't believe Mason was ever dumb enough to play Barber when he had other running backs on the roster from Texas, Illinois and Ohio where it is harder to put up good high school stats. I mean seriously, why evaluate players in the program when you already know their high school stats and where they were accumulated? I can't believe that anybody actually gave Seantrel a scholarship or that Notre Dame hasn't pulled Michael Floyd's scholarship yet.

Willie Middlebrooks had better tape measure stats and ran a faster 40 yard dash than Mike Lehan. The scouts were convinced and drafted Middlebrooks two rounds earlier (in diffferent drafts). However, Lehan produced more and lasted a lot longer in the NFL than the other and neither player suffered serious injury. What does that say?

Also, I'll be sure to use your argument about prior stats the next time I want a raise. I'm sure my SAT scores and HS GPA will mean a ton when compared to recent performance metrics. I'll be sure to let you know how that goes.

I'm also kicking myself for not using this to my advantage in college. Who knew that I could have graduated just on my HS laurels instead of putting in the time and effort of studying and such?
