Congrats to Zales04 - winner of tonight's & last of season's "Predict the Score"

Well, I'd hoped we'd have one more of these but 'twas not to be and it's only fitting that Zales win something this season!

But in all honesty, if we'd won this one, I'd have had to pick Duke for the next round so it's best we draw this to an end!

Zales was in a three-way (tie that is) with CharlesBenjamin (of course) and RW+RW=Our W's (also a past winner). All were five points away from predicting the actual 62-76 score. Zales had the closest score to Texas's actual -- his projection was 65-78 -- so he's the winner under our tie-breaker rules.

Thus, Zales has his name emblazoned on the Roll of Honor and garners 15 oh-so-valuable points in the season standings. Standings will be posted separately.

Here's the top five places (there were only 12 who picked the Longhorns):

1st Place (tie): Zales04, CharlesBenjamin and RW+RW=Our W's - 15 pts awarded; 5 variance of points from actual score.
2nd Place: Bayfieldgopher - 10 pts awarded; variance of 6 points from actual score.
3rd Place: Hyaluronic - 7 pts awarded; variance of 8 points from actual score.
4th Place (tie): bigup2dahorns, gopher7 and Longhorn in Austin - 5 pts awarded; variance of 9 points from actual score.
5th Place: - BJ 15 - 3 pts awarded; variance of 10 points from actual score.

I am torn, but I will take this win over my inept season in the pick per day contest this year!

Roll of Honor - End of Season

Here's the Roll Call of Honor for the 2008-09 "Predict the Score" competition. Special kudos to:

• CharlesBenjamin who is probably the most consistent participant in terms of finishes (and will win the season's competition);
