Confusing Piper analysis

I'm not a BIG gopher fan. I don't want to be. I've seen how actual big Gopher fans act on here, attacking those who disagree with them and always painting an unrealistic spin on everything relating to the program. I'm attacked on here and think its sad that people take this team so seriously and don't see it for what it is. I'm not going anywhere. So ignore me if you hate me so much, even none, and I mean NONE, of you actually know me.

Why are you so critical of a team that you are not a fan of? Why do you have over 1,300 posts on a message board of a team you don't root for? The answer: You are a troll.

I'm glad someone on here finally understands my name IS ironic. Because, no, I'm not a big fan of the Gophers. Not even close. I follow the program and wish them well; they just rarely meet my expectations. Nebraska is on the rise and Northwestern seems to have a very good coach so teams "below" Minnesota are only getting better. This program needs game-changing recruits if it hopes to stay semi-relivent.

...oh and let's not forget Illinois has a few big time transfers in the barrel coming next season and several young and talented players who are only getting better.

I am amused by all internet idiots, but the ones that really get to me are the "higher standards" clowns who think they are better fans because they have unrealistically high expectations. Everything they have accomplished in their own personal lives is half-fast at best, yet they expect every season to be a winning season from their sports teams.

Reminds me of a couple posters refusing to watch the NIT a couple years ago because high expectations. I also remember someone suggesting back in 2012 I think that the football team should decline a bowl invite, because apparently the last 50 years of Gopher football have shown that we're above playing low-tier bowls. Personally I prefer to not get caught up in expectations and just let the season play out and enjoy it for what it is.

Yikes. Little dramatic? Don't take things so seriously. There's no reason that you should get as offended as you do.

Also, it actually is possible to be a huge Gopher fan without attacking people or being unrealistic about the team. It's not like you're required to do all of that before you can be a big fan, but I'm sure you knew that...

Objective is one thing, but you have never once said anything positive about the team, program or coach Pitino. So until you do (there is plenty to be excited about), you are nothing but a troll and I don't think anyone would be surprised if you were actually a Wisconsin or Iowa fan.

ETA: You also never show up after a big win, but if we lose you are in here the second the game is over ripping the team and act as if the sky is falling.

Now you're just making things up. Haha. No I openly admit I am more critical than most "fans" on here but stop with this "troll" garbage. Ignore me. Settle down.

Is it "unrealistic" to expect this program to sign more than one 4 star recruit every three years? Is it unrealistic to expect to beat NW at home? Is it unrealistic to expect this program to be in better shape Nebraska? Is it unrealistic to expect not to be an underdog against NW? Is it unrealistic to expect myself to live long enough to see a Sweet 16? Is it unrealistic to expect Wisconsin to not be filled with Minnesotans year in and year out?

I've never said a bad word about Pitino, ever. He doesn't have his players in his system, but his first recruiting class (2014) is underwhelming. Sorry, I don't buy into this JC kid who shoots 12% from 3s. Sorry I don't slobber over our 2 star recruit from Washington. But I suppose anyone to suggest Martin isn't an amazing player is a troll...

I'm very critical of the team. Deal with it.

troll or tool take your pic, maybe we'd take you seriously if you said something positive that was sincere, but we all know you won't and Martin's no longer a 2 star on espn, at least get your facts straight

Which Minnesota player on Wisconsin do you wish we had? And Josh Martin isn't a 2-star according to anyone, but of course you say he is because it allows you to be more negative. Making up reasons to be negative isn't objective like you claim to be.

Martin is 3 stars NR. I feel 1,000x better. I'm not talking about the current Sconny team.

"Martin is a two-star. Oh he isn't? Well he's not ranked."

I'm surprised you are able to type anything with your foot jammed in your mouth.

You said year in and year out. Maybe you should say what you mean instead of saying what you don't mean.

Haha. Wow. Try again. I would, 100%, stay by my statement about Wisconsin sniping players from Minnesota year in and year out. Look at some of the most influential players from Wisconsin over the last 10 seasons. Lots and lots and lots from Minnesota (year in and year out).

You say a lot of words and phrases that you don't quite know the meaning to.

So the fact that the Badgers have an inordinate amount of players from Minnesota over the last 10 years who fastened great careers doesn't quantify as year in and year out? Hmm.

Here's the definition of year in, year out:
Year in, year out: every year for a long time

Also, here are some synonyms:
nonstop, without a break, unfailingly, always.

If you're still confused, let me know.

it is clear to me that Pitino can coach. He makes good adjustments mid-game, has a good plan for most teams, and is able to motivate the kids. The question about Richard is can he recruit.
That will be determined in the next 3 years.....if he can recruit, we should expect great things in this program for many many years to come.....If he cannot recruit, than I suspect in 2018 we will be looking for a new coach......

he is a much better recruiter then coach

With all due respect Dr. Don, please explain to me how someone is young for his age.

I suspect it's the same way someone is short for his height or heavy for his weight.

So all of these teams are getting better, but the Gophers are not? Weird. The Gophers are better than NW, Nebraska and Illinois. NW and Nebraska were brutal, they couldn't get any worse.
